Good news to all Marikeños like me because a new Bar and Grill has recently opened .
Welcome to Cul De Sac Island! Gives you the island life to the urban streets of Metro Manila. It’s a place to unwind after work, school, and from the hustle-n-bustle of city life.Serving favorite island food & music, inspired from the islands of Hawaii, Philippines, and the Caribbean.
They had their soft opening last November 2019. I was so lucky that I found them and it’s was so close to my home so I immediately told my foodie friends and we set a date to visit .
We visited the place last Wednesday. The place was near South Supermarket were i used to go when buying some groceries . You can easily spot Cul De Sac as it has a logo on their huge building . The good thing about them is they have a very big spaces including parking lot. So if you’ll be bringing car with you , no need to worry because there’s a lot of space waiting for you . You can also park on the side of South Supermarket.
They opened around 5pm and we arrived just on time . Im really impressed on how the place looks like . It was spacious so you can move around freely . The first thing that catch my attention was the Big Bike . You can have a photo op there too.
They have a dart game area where you can play while waiting for food and drinks and there’s a Beer Pong too that you’ll surely enjoy throughout your stay . Haven’t seen any bar and grill as big as this and no one offers dart game area and beer pong here in Marikina. My friends and I are having fun that day .
Now let’s talk about their Menu. Cul De Sac Island Bar is totally unique where they offer a one of a kind dishes which you can’t find at other traditional bar and grill in the Metro.
For appetizers, they have Island Buffalo Wings , Savory Fried Chicken, Tokwat Baboy, Hawiian BBQ Pork, Nachos Nui, Lumpiang Shanghai , Chicken Skin Special , Chicken Nuggets, French Fries , Calamari, Fish Fingers, Kropek, Hungry Franks and their New Pika-Pika Platter . A variety of Filipino Street favorites including fish balls, chicken balls, kikiam and kropek for 120 pesos only .
For the Meals , we tried four of their Best Sellers:
• Spam Musubi – Grilled Spam on a top of block of rice drizzled with Chefs Special sauce wrapped together with Nori . 70 pesos per piece and 90 pesos with egg.
• Hawiian BBQ Baby Back Ribs- Tender Beef Baby Back Ribs marinated in Hawaian style BBQ sauce grilled to perfection served with rice 220 pesos only
• Carribean Jerk Chicken – grilled chicken marinated and rubbed with authentic jerk seasoning. Served with rice for 230 pesos .
• Fish Fillet Sandwich (New) – Deep fries buttered fish fillets layered with lettuce ,tomatoes, cucumber ,and tartar sauce served Iin sesame seed artisan bun.
These are the four dishes that ive tried at Cul De Sac. My top choice is the Spam Musubi.its a popular snack in Hawaii. This is my first time to try this a dish like this . Its so good and perfect for lunch or dinner. The Ribs was tender, paired with right sauce and seasoning. The Jerk Chicken is incredibly flavorful and the best Jerk Chicken ive tried . The spice is one of a kind that will make you order another cup of rice. Its warm spices will make you smile. Last was their new Fish Fillet Sandwich that is deliciously healthy . All in all experience was thumbs up for me . No need to fly to Hawaii coz its all right here in Marikina. Will definitely recommend to family and friends !
They also have Live Bands, Stand Up Comedy Show and a large venue for your parties or events .
